WITH a series of complex acrobatic steps, two lions with the famous Khuan Loke Lion Dance Association mesmerised guests at PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd’s Chinese New Year Celebration and Campus Open Day in Shah Alam.

Close to 800 people attended the celebration. Parents brought their children to ALC College, The Lighthouse Campus to find out about the courses available since results for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination will be out soon.

Families at the Campus Open Day were thrilled with the lion dance and were treated to a variety of Malaysian hawker food, which included satay, keropok lekor, noodles, briyani, nyonya kuih, fish ball stick and cendol.

Many went back with mandarin oranges that were distributed by the two lions, which had earlier thrilled the crowd.

PKT Logistics Group chief executive officer and managing director Datuk Michael Tio said he was overwhelmed by the number of parents and residents from the immediate neighbourhoods of Section 32, Shah Alam and Klang who attended the event.

“We want the local folk to join the celebration and enjoy the food. But, at the same time, we thought let’s have the Campus Open Day so that parents can get a better understanding of the teaching environment that incorporates practical training,” he said.
