The new “normal” can be a scary time for many as uncertainty lurks unseen.
When the Malaysian government announced the Movement Control Order beginning 18 March 2020, our team at PKT Logistics Group had just days to prepare and execute contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
Having previously weathered the 1998 Asian Currency Crisis and the 2008 World Financial Crisis, PKT Logistics Group did not waver in providing customers with world-class logistics services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, we continued to support customers providing essential goods and service. By April 29, our operations resumed to normal in stages, in line with the announcement made by the International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali in 28 April 2020.
To recap, PKT Logistics Group is also classified under the transportation sector (listed as an essential service).
Beyond that, we wish to assure our customers that we had obtained the approval from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) to operate during the MCO period in the following sectors:
- Automotive CKD Assembly for Export
- Automotive After Sales Parts Warehousing / CBU Motorbikes
- Automotive After Sales Parts Trading
- Petrochemical / Oil & Gas
- Hardware
- Fast Moving Consumer Goods

The safety of customers and team members remain paramount as we continue to serve you. Our operational teams have been have been trained and provided with the necessary Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) knowledge and safety gear to help flatten the curve during this Covid-19 pandemic.
Our offices and warehouses have also been professionally sanitised by sanitary and hygiene services professionals. In the meantime, regular cleaning is carried out by our internal team of hygiene specialists.
